There are many who are frustrated across the State concerned about increased taxes, fees and State mandates that ultimately cost us more here in Onondaga County.  With declining revenues, we must reduce and look closely at wasteful spending as well as the ineffective layers of government that are costing us more. 

This problem is extremely complicated and one of the reasons that I am working to promote a movement to REFORM NEW YORK!  You, the voters in the 4th District elected me to work on the complicated issues like this and that is why in 2009 I joined with New York State Attorney General, Andrew Cuomo and his staff to promote www.ReformNYGov.com which is the first step to making a positive change for the future. 

Laws have been passed and this website explains how citizens and local elected officials can work together to identify, reduce or eliminate obsolete and ineffective layers of government that are taxing us all beyond capacity.  Now more than ever, it is much easier to cut through the red tape and move forward with such measures with or without local elected official’s approval.  Through the referendum process, citizens can now have a more effective voice and take a more active part in local government.
