After an extended battle with Breast Cancer I was not only exhausted & stressed by my illness, but was frustrated by the denial of coverage for medically necessary procedures. I contacted my Onondaga County Legislator, David Stott in hopes that he would be able to assist me in some way. Although my issues were not related to County business, David used his knowledge of State and Local government to walk me through the necessary steps to address my concerns. In the end, with his guidance and help from the appropriate State agencies, my insurance company reversed their decision and paid my bill. Thanks to David Stott, I can enjoy my remission without the stress of unpaid medical bills.

As I mentioned on the homepage of this website, serving as an elected official is all about cultivating relationships in the public and private sector to help improve the quality of life for those I represent. When I spoke with Patricia and her husband about their problem with the insurance company, I contacted the Attorney General’s office and was able to get some results in only a few short weeks.
